Tonight’s MatchupThe Brandon Wheat Kings kick off a four-game road trip tonight in Moose Jaw. Its the first of a busy stretch, including four games in five nights. Tonight is just the second game of the season vs the Warriors, with the BWK winning 4-2 at Westoba Place back on November 19th.

Last Time Out: 2-1 L vs Prince Albert: The Wheat Kings once again ran into a hot goaltender on Saturday night, unable to beat Tikhon Chiaka more than once, as the Raiders came into Brandon and kicked off a weekend sweep of Manitoba teams. Nolan Ritchie had the only Brandon goal.

NEWS & NOTES:

Hot Hot Hot: Nolan Ritchie is on an offensive tear right now for the Wheat Kings, compiling 10 points in his last five games (3G-7A). Ritchie is currently riding a five game point streak and has at least a point in 11 of his last 15 games.

Load it Up: Tonight is the start of one of the busiest stretches of the 2021 season for the Wheat Kings. Brandon will play eight games in the next twelve days, with stops in four cities in three different provinces. The Wheat Kings have 10 games between now and the WHL Christmas break.

POW Snub: We’re not sure what Ridly Greig has to do to earn WHL Player of the Week Honours. In three games last week the Ottawa Senators prospect scored five times and added four assists for nine points. He and his linemates also combined for 26 points in the span of a week.
