Wheat Kings fill key roles in front office

BRANDON, MB – The Brandon Wheat Kings have filled two key roles in their front office with the hiring of Drew Clayton as the Director of Ticket Sales and Alayna Ningeongan as Executive Assistant and Operations Coordinator.

Born in Thompson and raised in Brandon, Clayton brings years of sales experience and an extensive personal history with the Wheat Kings. Clayton served as Director of Game Day Operations from 2004-2014 before moving on as an Agriculture Sales Consultant with Rocky Mountain Equipment.

“I’m really excited to get started,” said Clayton. “There are a lot of new faces and a couple old ones… I know the history and pride this organization has and I extremely happy to be back.”

Alayna Ningeongan is a recent graduate from both Brandon University (Physical Education) and Assiniboine Community College (Advanced Human Resources). Ningeongan was born and raised in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, the hometown of arguably the most popular Wheat King of all time – Jordin Tootoo. That fact is not lost on Ningeongan.

“It’s a dream come true to work for the Wheat Kings. Growing up, everyone was a Tootoo fan so to work here now feels like I belong. I’m very excited”

The Wheat Kings are in the process of renewing season tickets with the first prize deadline being Canada Day – July 1st. After July 1st there will be a draw where one lucky season ticket holder will win a trip for 2 to Toronto to check out a Blue Jays game. Flight, Hotels and Tickets included.

The first 1000 fans who renew before July 15th will get themselves an exclusive BWK bobblehead (TBA) not available anywhere else!
