NEWS & NOTES:
Last Game:. The Wheat Kings suffered a 6-1 loss at the hands of the Medicine Hat Tigers Wednesday. It was a game where the Wheat Kings were down 2-0 early and pretty much chased the game for the reminder of the night. A positive to take out of the evening was the powerplay continuing to click with Jake Chiasson scoring his 7th of the year to improve their special teams numbers. In the end the Tigers took advantage of a beaten up Wheat Kings roster which included Mason Ward, Brett Hyland, Ben Thornton and Zach Turner all out with injury.
Nov 18th @ Edmonton: The Brandon Wheat Kings look to get back on track Friday night when they travel to the home of the Edmonton Oil Kings, Rogers Place. The Oil Kings are in a clear rebuild year after making their way to a Memorial Cup run last year. They only have two victories to show this season and they have already dealt their top players to destinations looking to contend for a WHL Championship. This might be what the doctor ordered for the Wheat Kings to snap this losing skid and get back on track.
