HOME OPENER TICKETS ON SALE FRIDAY

Brandon, MB. — Tickets to Brandon’s Coca Cola Home Opener, presented by The Brandon Sun, will go on sale Friday morning at the Keystone Centre box office.

This year’s Home Opener will feature the Wheat Kings up against Quinton Howden and the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday, September 23rd at Westman Communications Group Place.

Friday’s game will conclude a home and home series between the two teams to kick off the 2011-12 Western Hockey League regular season.

The Warriors will play host to Brandon on Thursday, September 22nd at brand new Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw. That game will bring the curtain up on what should be an exciting campaign.

In addition to purchasing your Home Opener tickets at the Keystone Centre box office, fans can order online at ticketmaster.ca or by calling 726-3555.

Single game tickets for Brandon’s remaining thirty-five regular season games will go on sale Tuesday, September 27th.

In other ticket related news, the Wheat Kings hosted their annual “Season Ticket Pick-up Day” in the Keystone Centre parking lot on Thursday. In addition to giving western Manitoba hockey fans the opportunity to pick up their 2011-12 Season Ticket packages, the hockey club was busy selling them as well.

Fans wanting more information on the most affordable Season Tickets in the WHL, are asked to call the Wheat Kings’ office at 726-3535. At $10 per game, Wheat Kings’ season ticket holders are saving close to 50% off regular box office admission prices.

On the ice, Brandon kicks off a 4-game pre-season schedule on Friday night against the visiting Warriors at Westman Place. Puck drop is at 7:30 pm
